My full-time commitment

I am the co-founder and CTO of Akhetonics, where we are building the world's first all-optical digital processor. This is my primary job, it is incredibly interesting, and most importantly to this page, it gets the vast majority of my time and energy.

If you are looking for a fractional CTO, a long-term technical advisor, or someone to run your engineering team, I am not the right person for you right now. Akhetonics is at a critical stage and my commitment there is non-negotiable.

Where I can help

There are a few narrow areas where I can contribute in a limited, well-scoped engagement:

Technical due diligence

If you are an investor evaluating a deep tech or photonics opportunity and need an independent technical read on the science, the roadmap, the team's claims I can help you ask the right questions.

Photonics & optical computing advisory

Technology assessment, R&D direction, competitive landscape. I have spent over a decade working on nonlinear photonics, microresonators, and all-optical signal processing. And in the last 5 years I followed also the business side of things. If your problem lives in that space, I probably have a useful opinion.

Scientific advisory

I still engage in peer review of papers I want to read anyway. Also happy to participate in grant applications as Akhetonics if this aligns with the company's goals.

Speaking

Keynotes and panel discussions on optical computing, deep tech entrepreneurship, or the physicist-to-founder journey. I am selective but genuinely enjoy public speaking when the audience and topic are a good fit.
